Finally I have managed to get my flickr thingy up and running. Horray me. Go team. yadda yadda... phew!
Anyway, I thought it would be a nice way of putting all of the pictures I'm working on up for all to see. You can watch me playin about with colours and stuff etc. If there are any illustrations you would like to buy but aren't on etsy. Just let me know and I'll put them up for grabs :)
Have fun!

Nice is Nice
Hello there.
Sorry I've had my head stuck in a few books this past week. It's been hard work prizing my eyes away from the pages but it's been worth it. I'm not quite over this phase yet so the work process is slowing slightly. But hey it is summer after all and we all could do with a break! Horrah!
I had a nice day off last week where I spent a large chunk of it sat in the park (with a book yes). I had lunch and curled up in the sun with my fiction.
I've been playing around with ideas and getting what I can done before work. All in all it has been a very nice few days and I thought I'd share that with you :) Nice days are always nice.

I Can't Believe You Just Said That
Howdy. I'm back sat at my computer. "Enjoying" my Saturday before I start work at 6:30. There must be a breeze in the house because the door next to me is banging away and driving me crazy.... so much so I may have to move into another room... which I have just done. Yay Silence.
These new pictures are up for grabs in the shop now. The Beautiful Fox below is an altered version of The Glancing Wolf. I'll have some different coloured versions of characters cropping up in the near future so keep a look out.
I'm in the process of trying to write something snazzy for the show in September. Come to think of it it doesn't have to be snazzy... I'm just trying to write a blurb about what I'm doing... trouble is I'm never all that sure about what I'm up to :) It just happens... Maybe if I close my eyes this blurb will write itself...
Nope, looks like I'm just going to have to concentrate... or I could just scan random pictures in... tra la la
I'm not sidetracked honest...

He Turns To Leave...
Another new woodland creature has made his presence known. Available in the shop :) Have a peek. I seem to be building quite a collection of animals. I could fill a forest... nearly... not quite... soon maybe. A very small forest.
Well last night at work made me realize I should carry this machine where ever I go because I'll always have something to do... but oh no... there I was... full sketchbook.... leaking pen... no ds.... nothing to distract me from the vile film sounds oozing from the cracks between the cinema doors... nowhere to run, nowhere to hide...
It was pretty horrific... and all that happened during the first screening. I still had 2 more to go. Luckily I was saved by stray book tucked behind the chair... which happened to be an Agatha Christie. Big cheers! I'm going to have to give you a link to the book because it actually turned into a life saver. Bit strange reading about stories in the depths of winter/christmas in July. I'm sure I've done worse...
Maybe one day I'll dedicate a woodland animal to M. Poirot. Draw a great big tash on him too :)

The Apple Of My Eye
The Apple Of My Eye is now in the shop. Horrah! Measures 10"x 8" and the colours look great together. Really chuffed with these animal portraits. There will be some more coming soon.
Me and the housemates are off to dine at Wagamama's later. Well chuffed. It means we'll all be in food comas for the rest of the evening. Woop! Then we are off to have a cocktail or 2. I'm not really diggin the idea of having to change out of my pjs but it looks like its just going to have to happen...
I'm enjoying the wonderfulness that is wifi. I've been walking around the house making good use of it watching reruns... in every room...

Thursday is Birdcage Day
Well I've been having a very interesting few days. I'm quite tired because sleep is proving complicated lately BUT I bought my new computer yesterday! Woop! I've been faffing about with it all morning upgrading this, sorting out that. It's such a nice feeling to be able to start again from scratch and know that you've not clogged the machine up with nonsense yet :) Give me time though... it's what I'm good at. I'm very much looking forward to uploading photoshop and other creative programs then I can get to it and celebrate by making some new pictures.
My 1st birdcage arrived in the post today also... duh duh duh! Fingers crossed its all in one piece. And it's a good job I cleared out the front room because where else can i put them? ;) ... I'm not 100% sure what I plan to do with them but it's going to be fun trying to think something up.
I have work later and I plan to play around with some new pictures. I'll keep you posted of course. Keep an eye out too!
Enjoy the sun while it's here!

Our "STUDIO"
Well I got up bright and early (9ish... ) and decided to get started on clearing out and organising the spare room in our house. It'd got to the point where the thing was bugging me because it has some lovely features (a beautiful cast iron fireplace - not usable but stunning!) and all the space was being used for was a spare/guest/mess/store/warehouse... thing.
I thought it would be nice to take some before and after shots so lets begin...
BEFORE:
There are beds and tents and bikes (the bikes can stay because they are pretty and we don't have anywhere else to keep them) and stuff... notice the yucky walls...
AFTER:
Ta da!
Notice how lovely and organised the place is... how clean the floor is... how straight the curtains are... I did nearly get squished on the stairs by items of furniture but I think that shows dedication... not stupidity...
And my desk! It's no longer buried underneath my clothes in my room. It's functional again. It may look a little crowded but it's still work in progress :)
The beds gone and theres plenty of space. You could swing a cat! If we had one...... but anyway it's nice to have a fully functional room again :) I even scrubbed the walls. There are still a few things I need to adjust but they will happen later. The walls for a start need some livening up... and I can't wait!
Time to relax...

Faithful, Crafty and Suspicious
Busy Busy Busy...
Here are 3 more pictures up for grabs. The shop has had a bit of a belated spring clean which is nice. And I've been adding new characters for you to make friends with. Below we have The Faithful Cat, The Crafty Fox and The Suspicious Cat. They've got a nice potential 'combo thing going on. I think the colours go really well together. Do let me know what you think I could do with some feedback.
We seem to be having perfect bbq weather today. One minute its sunny and before you know it pouring with rain.
Perfecto!

I'm Right Behind You
FINALLY! "I'm Right Behind You" is now available on etsy. The page measures 8"x 10" and there's room around the edge for framing. Available in 2 colours :)
I decided to bring my computer to work with me and boy it's heavier than it looks. I'm busying myself with pictures for the show in September. I'm also getting sidetracked and bidding for old decorative bird cages on ebay. Tsk Tsk. Not to mention trawling through pretty pictures on google...
Sigh...

Flick... Flick......... Flick.....
Hello!
I'm sat at work waiting for my shift to officially begin flicking through a beautiful book/magazine/collective I just purchased. Admiring all the lovely pictures and scribbles. Feeding my imagination with lots of lovely colours. All is going well :)
I'll have some new pictures up for grabs and I'll update my etsy tomorrow evening. It's been a very long time since my last update and I'm sorry for the slackness. I'm trying to be WAY more selective about what I print because at the minute it seems to be everything. Keep a look out for the newbies. I'll keep you posted for sure.
We had a "meeting" (I use this term lightly) with our friends at the Hand and Heart Gallery about booking space for a show in September. VERY excited about that! The space is amazing, loads of light and loads of room. My mind hasn't stopped ticking over ideas since we left. There's loads of amazing stuff going on there at the moment so if you're local you should pop down and check it out. Even if you just fancy a nice place to sit and some great tea/coffee and cake. Do it!
Right... now where did I leave my sketchbook...
