objects of desire

I wanted to share with you a treasure I came across last week (possibly the week before). A beautiful old printing block I found in a vintage shop in town. The only draw back to this find was I had previously been to the library and filled my bag with about 4 (huge) books, oops. So for the rest of the day I was dragging my bags around Nottingham. (luckily the printing block is quite small) My shoulders still hate me.

Below are some treasures I find my self swooning over on a regular basis.

1. Custom embroidered note by - DashOfMagic, 2. Summery pink sandals by - DearGoldenVintage, 3. Gocco print by - Katep, 4. Felt accessory by - KateBroughton, 5. Felted slippers by - FrenchPressKnits, 6. Custom cottages by - LittlePinkHouse, 7. Book plates by - TheLittleFox, 8. Showcap necklace by - ZhivanaDesigns, 9. Vintage Brooch by - CharacterPants.

Ps/ Photo credits go to the sellers listed above :)

Make Tea Not War!

The tea party was this afternoon and we all had such a nice time. Thanks to all who showed up and ate cake and slurpped their tea with us. The tea cup prints are still up for sale on etsy so grab them while you can because they'll only be up for another week! It was a day for chatting and salad cream. I love SALAD CREAM! Yum... and on that note. I'm off to watch blur on the tele.

I'm completely head over heals for the pink ish one. Something about his expression seems to fit so many different emotions. I'm very pleased indeed and I hope you enjoy it too :)

Update on the fair this Sunday. (cough SUNDAY 28TH JUNE cough) I've been making prints alllllll morning ready for the event (Yes It's 1:30 in the afternoon now and I am still in my pjs). You can still buy the charity print online (available for a limited time only) here. Some will be available at the fair (money raised through them and through the event will go towards the chairty RapeCrisis). Also there will be some random mini prints and new badge sets launched. so come feast your eyes on some of Nottinghams treasures and feast your belly on them cakes we keep talking about ;)

Shall I? Shan't I?

I'm obsessing over fonts and scribbling at the minute. I can't decide if I should make this into a print though?

What do you think?

Thursday, 18 June 2009

For those who can't make it to the event on June 28th but want to contribute, treat yourself (and your walls) to a copy of the print!

It will be on sale at the tea party for 10 English Pounds. 8 of these English Pounds will go to charity :)

printer hiccup give away! - UPDATED

Hello folks.

I've been spring/summer cleaning my desk and it turns out I have so many prints with slight blotches or printer mistakes. Some of them are testers and practically perfect except on different paper. Anyway, I've been asking if people want to give them new homes for free on twitter :) It breaks my heart to just throw them out when they could be enjoyed.

ps/ I won't send anything out that's got giant printer destruction so don't panic, you won't receive a chewed up inky piece of paper ;)

***Overwhelming response! Thank you all those who got in touch about printer hiccups. Make sure you've emailed me your addresses and I'll get some packaged up and on their way to you next week. For now I think I've run out but I'm sure there will be more in the future. I'll keep you all posted as it's taken a weight off my mind (and desk and bin). You're all stars!***

The Diary

Absent minded doodling comes so smoothly. Intentional drawing projects are a whole different ball game. The rut has returned... I hope it won't last too long...
